not to be rude, but you're completely one sided due to your beliefs and your own actions. This person was tricked, manipulated and led into believing that his GF was on the pill. You had a surprise baby, whether you were on the pill, using condoms or whatever but you never led your significant other to believe a lie. Abortion is a choice to people like this or people who find themselves in my situation where the father was a crazy abusive manipulative asshole and I was in the military. Some people are not at that point in their lives to be fiscally responsible with a child, or responsible enough for a child. You were at your young age and more power to you but think of the sacrifices you had to make to make that work. I didn't want to lose my life to a child, I was just barely 18 and I had only been in the navy 6 months. I never had the hard partying fun teenage years that a lot of people had so I was really looking forward to being able to club, party, get wasted and oh yeah DEPLOY! I wanted to live my life for myself before giving it up to have a kid, and face being a military mother meant I would have to hand the child over to someone else whenever I would deploy or go underway sooooo it means that wailing child would have lived with his/her grandparents 90% of its young life cause I'm not leaving the military any time soon. It would have been someone elses' burden. Now for adoption take. Yes adoption is great but after a person has gone 9 months carrying a child and nurturing it with her own body what are the chances she'll change her mind and be like "No this is my child, I am keeping it"? I bet they're pretty high. For the OP tricking her into getting an abortion or talking her into one would probably be the best bet. He doesn't want a kid. The only other way would be to get some other man to fall hard and fast for the lying girl and have them get married and what not.

look at my post 112, I said it was wrong of her, the guy can simply not take care of the child, she obviously wanted it so I doubt he could talk her into an abortion, but yes, I believe murdering a baby for your own selfishness is wrong, the only reason I can see to possibly have an abortion is if the pregnancy is endangering the mothers life or it was the result of a rape

a 12 year old shouldn't be having sex for 1 and for 2 a pregnancy in a 12 year old is more than likely life threatening because their body isn't ready for pregnancy... like I said in an earlier post, I don't want to get in a king convo about abortion because, I believe it is murder, it's not the babys fault, if you're not prepared for the consequences don't have sex!

Wait a 12 year old shouldn't be having sex, but 12 years old are capable and willing to do it not to mention the fact that most of the time their bodies are developed enough to safely give birth because wasn't it only a couple of hundred years ago that we as a human race married off of young children as soon as they were of child bearing age? We haven't de-evolved physically. You are calling people selfish for wanting an abortion how about I call it a cure to unwanted children, future child abuse cases, future foster home kids, call me selfish I did what I wanted and I have no regrets but its single track minded people like you that makes people like Jessica Canfield and instead stick their babies in a trashcan. Because its so much more human to put a living breathing fully aware child in a trashcan then to abort it when its not developed any living capabilities outside the womb. I had sex and I knew the consequences and I decided like hundreds of thousands before me to terminate those consequences. There answers to every consequence and what you might think is murder is a solution to someone else.

Yes 12 years old used to get married and have kids and in parts of the world they still do but they often died during child.

My history isn't perfect, but I thought that historically most girls weren't married till 14? Also, 12 yr olds shouldn't be having sex, that's far, far too young. And if a 12 yr old was pregnant it probably would be rather dangerous for her, that is why a lot of girls died young in historical times. Also, whichever way you argue, abortion will always be the choice of the woman who's carrying the child in each case, the father should have a say, yes, but ultimately it will be the woman who makes the final decision. And some people (like rohosoccer) are against it, whereas others (like chaotonic) are for it, and in some cases there will be circumstances (such as danger to the mother) where everyone agrees. So I think people need to understand that it's a personal decision and no generalisations will ever be able to be made, because some people will always be against it whilst others will always be for it.

Oh yes I killed my child, His name was Alex and I am so upset by it because I knew I would never give him the life he deserved. And I am tore up about it to the core to where I cannot sleep at night. Thats called sarcasm. I argue so hard about abortion because too many people are willing to condone it and almost no one will sit here and argue for the women. And then when a person does argue for it, it means they feel guilty. No it doesn't. You have two kids good for you, bravo you popped out two children that you wanted. Now how about these women, these career women, the feminists, the girls who don't want children, yet love sex and want a normal life style but without kids. They get pregnant shit happens, but now you're condoning them for their actions, people call them sinners, baby killers, ******, ***** whatever because they made their choice. Do some them regret it? Yes. Do some not? Yes. Yet its people who sit there and say "Oh I have beautiful kids why would you do this to your own kids?" or go "Its murder!" "Or you're going to hell, you ******* **** of a killer!"

Because they made the choice. Its a damn good choice for a lot of people. And they take a lot of backlash from it. And its their bodies, their right to do what they want. And when people take away that right thats like saying "Oh you don't own your body anymore".

And about the 12 year old being pregnant, it would not be dangerous. I know, my little cousin gave birth at that age. She's perfectly healthy, as is her 3 year old.

If you are one of those women that DON'T want to have kids. Then just get the tubes tied. There we go, problem solved. You can't have kids so you won't have to worry about getting pregnant ever. No birth control or anything. And later on in life, if you decide you DO want kids after all just adopt.

idk what the law is in other places but here in Texas, they won't let you get your tubes tied till you are at least 21 and to 192, I was just stating my opinion, she chose to comment my opinion nd I will support it, I have the right to post my thoughts on the matter just as much as anyone else on here

"just" get the tubes tied. yes, because it's so easy to find a doctor to agree to sterilise you when you're childless and in your early 20s. not to mention everyone has thousands of bucks lying around to spend on sterilisation when the insurance won't pay for it.

Rape, incest, and life endangerments are extremely valid reasons to get an abortion. At the second level is just simply not being able to raise the child properly. In your case I realize you were being deployed so I'm not really judging you on that. I see adoption as an option but in all reality there are tons of babies put up for adoption each year and it is a system that is already under enormous strain. But the point remains that yes, if you don't think you can properly raise the child, I can see why some would consider abortion an option. But this snippet made me rage right the **** out because a lot of women who get abortions have this attitude, one that they don't want to be inconvenienced and have to give up partying, drinking, going out late, sleeping with whoever without protection and so on. They go on with this horrid behavior and eventually get knocked up, usually because of the consequences of their behavior, and just abort the kid so they don't have to give up such a lifestyle. Oh, it's no big deal, right? This shit pisses me off more than anything because it just shows how worthless some people who get abortions actually see the fetus as being. I'm sorry but you can shroud it in whatever bullshit you want but you ARE taking a life when you get an abortion so you better have a damn good reason for doing it. I was too young and immature to properly raise a child. And most of all I wanted to Deploy and do the whole Serve my country thing. I'm sure you've never wanted to put your life out there and say hey I'll take a bullet, an explosive, a grenade, whatever for people who are willing to condemn you for your choices in life. Sex was not intended for marriage. The only reason the church preached that was so they could keep track of the legitimate heirs of princes and the aristocracy. Those type of men banged whoever they wanted and had loads of illigitmate kids so something had to be done. Now with birth control and DNA tests we do not need marriage to prove who the parents of a kid are. Marriage is now a choice for people to show they love each other not the method of control it once was and as it is a CHOICE it is not chosen by some as the final point in their relationship. Sex was around long before marriage too. How could it be intended for something that didn't even exist.
