IDIOT
So? How did this make it through. It's not an FML in ANY way.
It definately is. I mean, I know it doesn't increase the chances of a birth defect MUCH at all but it's still pretty gross. Chances are they were close as children... how could you grow up with a family member and want to **** them... that's just ew. I think you would have to be some sort of a backwards hick to be into that...
"backwards hick," geez, way not to stereotype. what about the classic girl-next-door scenario? two kids grow up as close friends and eventually get married with all their momma and daddy's blessings. you know what? two people love each other and have stayed together. good for them. whoever thinks it's "gross" needs to get over themselves, because there's no real argument for that opinion now that most societies are genetically diverse enough that no harm will come of intra-familial marriage
I apologize. Please excuse my harshness to some of you, as I will be responding to many comments to this FML. It's not that I want to be a massive prick, honest. I can understand what this person is going through, because this has happened in my family before. #34: Whilst I do agree with your argument, I do NOT believe that allowing yourself to justify what should and should not be put on FMyLife.com, or even what should be "YLS'd" or "YDI'd" is proper. Way I see it, anyone, be it me, you, Bill Gates or even President Obama and his kids can click on the "Moderate the FML's" button and simply click "Yes" or "No" on any one of the FML's posted by anyone in the world. Furthermore, I don't believe religion is a part of this argument. No matter what any faith believes, what's happened has happened. Nothing can change that, and we all must accept it as how it is. As for us "liberal morons..." If everyone in the world wasn't just a little bit liberal... If we didn't all bend the rules a little bit at one point in our lives... Isn't that just a teensy bit boring to you? See that computer in front of you? Yeah, that thing right in front of your face? Where would it be without our liberal moronic "jump-the-gun" attitude? Should there not have been a little rebellion, there would be no Modern Era. We could all be living as peasants, enslaved by a savage tyrant, awaiting our white knight to give us our freedom... But I digress. Fact is, you are right and wrong at the same time. Think about what you say before you say it. -- As for the people who have been talking about "incestual mutant babies..." Just because two people in the same bloodline make love and have a baby, it won't do jack to the child. Assuming both parents have no physical deformities (ie. lost an arm, deaf, etc...) and both parents aren't from the same parent, The child should be a regular growing boy/girl. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them. -- As for incest being taboo/illegal... Same-family marriage is illegal, though I haven't the slightest idea why. If two people love each other, then they should just marry. Who cares? Take a look. Though stereotypical, may white families have the last names Smith, Baker, White, among others. Though common, many of these families have little or no genetic connection to each other, other than the fact that they are, in fact, human beings. This is mainly because once titles were nearing their end, "Thomas the Smith" and "Jane the Baker" would just drop the word "the" and become "Thomas Smith" and "Jane Baker." Why? It makes it easier on them, rather than thinking up a last name, which, in fact, someone else in the world will also have. Same with Latinos and thhttp://www.fmylife.com/miscellaneous/4539697e last names "Perez," "Martinez," "Velasquez," and "Hernandez" among others. See what I mean? To add to this, we are all of the same species, **** sapien. I said it. ****. SAPIEN. Why must it be taboo to marry one of our own? Is it too much to ask of the just world to let us love who or what we want, be it man, woman, animal, or inanimate object? Must we live our lives alone in this world? If I recall, Rule 34, which states that "If it exists, there's a **** of it," and Rule 36, "If you can think of it, there's someone with a fetish for it," exist. -- To put it simply, we, as humans only have one life. Whether we are reincarnated as another, purged of our sins, sent to the underworld, or find a way to live forever... It's all we've got. Whatever we choose to do with it is what we choose to do with it. I don't know about you all, but I'm going to go play outside with Nerf Guns. It's currently 1:35 AM where I am located, and for the record, I am 16 years old. Go ahead and flame me as much as you want, I'm stating my opinion as individual opinion, and not as fact.
well aside from da story above me... that is kinda wrong, and so it didn't do anything to yu, but wut seems wrong about it that most times, not all which might be in yur case, but most times when they're first cousins or brother and sister, it's something about the genetic info being too similar and closely connected and another thing having to do with genentic mutations that in most cases cause some kind of genetic abnormality and dna replication and gene copying screws up which makes an odd or weird human being... but honestly, there's mor than one person for eryone on earth (estimated around 6 billion people) to fall in love with and be compatible other than yur cousin..... that's kinda jus wrong... and I'm also only 16, I jus remembered som of the crap I learned scientifically why som of this is wrong to do... but yea, it's another persons life, it jus affects the child mor.
no one wants to read your ******* novel
@#195 I'm the idiot because I DIDN'T try to force my religious views on everyone else? Okay. Wait, not okay. People who try to force their beliefs on others are ******* idiots.
It's really not that big of a deal. I know a lot of people that have married their own first cousins. It's mainly a cultural thing that i myself dont get...maybe they just want to keep it to one lineage or it is love..
holy shit 212 if I wanted to read a crappy novel I'd go read watership down

This happens more often then you'd think. But still, FYL.
My parents are first cousins too, lol, I turned out fine. Just don't go off with your first cousin, there will probably be some trouble there :P
