My parents are also first cousins. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Anyone who has a problem with it is simply ignorant and afraid of something that's out of the social norm, but as others have mentioned biologically it's fine within one generation. All genetic testing for any possible disorders is done (as far as I know) during the pregnancy, just like during any other pregnancy. If there were any problems, you would have known about it from birth. I'm sure your parents already took care of it, but if you're not sure just ask them.

That's disgusting. I'm sorry, looking at my siblings and thinking of one of my kids marrying and having sex with one of their kids...that's completely wrong. Not wrong in a sense that it shouldn't happen because I'm not personally comfortable with it, wrong in a sense that I just can't think about that without cringing. I don't care.
