My parents are first cousins too, lol, I turned out fine. Just don't go off with your first cousin, there will probably be some trouble there :P

I understand it may seem strange to you, but if you don't have a genetic problem and they love each other, so what? I understand why it is illegal for closely related family considering it could mess with the child's genetics but if they are fine, good. Why does it have to be morally accepted for you to be with someone you love if it doesn't cause any issues? Let people live their life and live yours.
