Marrying your cousin isn't illegal. It's been done before. It's a common practice in other countries. . You do risk passing genes that run strong in your family to your kid though. Things like diabetes, certain types of cancer, and certain types of mental illness can be passed to the children. I think it's creepy, especially if you have a close relationship with said cousin. But if they're reasonably good-looking, why not? Family reunions will be a bit awkward, though.
