Today, I found out the person who's been stalking and harassing me online was actually my now ex-boyfriend. He only confessed as I finally picked up the phone to report it to the police. He basically said he wanted me to turn to him for comfort and protection, so he could "feel like a man". FML

Glad he's your ex. He's clearly an idiot.

And you'll be turning to a restraining order

I would tell him he's not a man but prison will make him into a b!tch.

If you don't ever go to him to comfort you, that can get inside of a guys head. I think what he did was a bad way of going on about it but not a reason to break up with him.

Well, not only is verbal harassment a form of abuse, trying to manipulate a person to depend upon you is a big condition of abusive relationships. For example, if he's already emotionally abusive and NOW she depends on him, he can escalate the abuse. How long until he has a bad day and smacks her around to "feel like a man"? Seeing as he already wants her to be a victim and has clear disrespect towards OP it's would've been just one bad day at work away. tl;dr: guy's a nutjob and I suggest the OP follow through with the police report.

aww man what a selfish manipulative asshole that probably hurt a lot sorry that someone would do that to you or anybody

Way to drive you farther away from him and makes him look way less than a man. Creepy and a huge turn off! Think about a restraining order for real.

Block him on everything - phone, social media, email, etc.
