Did you know he liked her?
Uhhh. You might want to check your choice in friends. I am a chemist and silver nitrate is a known carcinogen. As in cancer-causing. The better hope is that he's too lousy a student to have known and you don't get sick 10 years down the road. That sounds like a large dose...and like some pretty serious theft that involves federal regulations.....
And yes, there are medical applications, but only when necessary and this wasn't one.
yeah haha what a prank haha you should deck him in the face haha yknow as a prank haha
Some friend! That is just completely idiotic to react in such a way. Using chemicals against someone else, no matter the reason, is unprofessional and immature! what's next? throw some acid at you and his excuse will be "i thought you wanted to be a batman villain "?!
I guess he was so impressed by your "friendship" that he wanted to impress you with his chemistry
I work as a chemistry tec and also work with silver nitrate, if that crap when in liquid form gets on you it turns your skin a dark nasty ass brown color, ya like a brown sharpie actually, and it takes almost a week to come off. Potassium permanganate is worse, you have to wait for your skin to grow and flake off before it goes always and its deep black, like an alarming mole.

Ugh. That's just being an irresponsible chemist, and an abuse of knowledge. Small amounts of silver nitrate are an annoyance, but every chemical has its dangers.
Well, OP, I'd say the prank wars have just begun. Get him back, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
