So wait, its only the women? If that is the case, who are they having sex with...? If you say other women, I dont see the problem... just saying... C'mon, let face it. Bases are full of lonely, attractive, younger people with nothing to do but each other. Are we really surprised that cheating (from BOTH men and women) is rappant?

You're right #39, but it still pisses me off. "WAHH I married someone who's in the military then I'm shocked when they have to leave for a while and I'm all lonely. WAHH lemme go make myself feel better by ******* everything that moves." I'm a military girlfriend and yes, its lonely as hell. But I knew what I was getting into, and since I actually care about my soldier, I don't find it necessary to cheat on him. Just my two cents.

Just because you have negative experiences with military wives doesn't mean you should generalize or stereotype all military wives in one category. As an army wife I too have seen "the bad apples" of the military wives, but that doesn't mean we all sleep around. I know WAY more faithful wives and husbands than I know unfaithful. I love my husband more than anything in this world and support his career, and am the most faithful and devoted wife. The ones who cheat(man or woman) obviously have some f'd up morals and values, its in their character to cheat, if they were just a civilian family, they would still cheat. So to generalize all military wives in a category like that offends me to the core every time I hear it. I wish everyone who says things like that could see the devotion of every faithful wife out there, then you would change your tune.

Thank you. Very well said! I was an Army wife too,my husband is now a Veteran and back in the States while I'm still in Germany finishing up my college degree. People think I'm crazy and constantly ask me "Aren't you lonely? Aren't you scared he'll cheat?" NO!!! We made it through two deployments together and we love each other very much so we can definitely handle a few more months apart especially in times of internet and webcam. But the few military wives that are ****** have such a big impact on the public opinion it's ridiculous...I also know more faithful wives than cheating ones.

While I do know a few great wives/husbands, I think I know more "bad apples" than good ones, unfortunately. Stereotypes happen for a reason though, it's not just one or two people cheating to give people in the military a bad name, it's the 50% - 54% divorce rate, which most cases are because of cheating (read this on a military news paper last year that it had a significant rise in the last 5 years) gives the military spouses bad names.
