I've seen people who said the husband should simply inform her before writing her up. Why make her feel like she should be above everyone else and be warned before ticketed? In a summariaztion, she thinks she's above everyone else and deserves better treatment because of such. To me, that's a YDI for thinking of something just because of who you're married to.
i dont see why cops and some other people r such bitches about parking, and perhaps the OP got permission to park where she did but her husbands lack of memory for lisence plates ended up giving her a ticket. 150 dollars is alittle excessive, its not like she was speeding or driving drunk, a courtesy ticket should be issued before fines. Where I live, parking is not allowed anywhere on the street at all, which is bullshit cuz i live on a residential one way and my roomate got a 20 dollar ticket for just one night of parking on the wrong side cuz everyone else was taking up the correctt side. I dont know, I just think they should ease up on parking restrictions and penalties. Call me a devils advocate
YDI for parking illegally, and double for thinking your marriage puts you above the law. Lulz on you for getting ticketed by your hubby though.
awww poor baby. your husband doesn't let you break the law.
People calm down! You guys are ripping this lady apart for no reason! The point of her FML is that she got a ticket written by her husband, not that she got a ticket in general. Now, she's not above the law but anybody married too a cop would be pissed off if they wrote them a ticket, especially a man writing his wife a ticket(we know better than that.. well some of us). Plus, we don't even know what kind of parking ticket it was, maybe the meter ran out or whatever, one shouldn't assume she thinks she's above the law because her husband's a cop.

If you ought to have got the parking ticket... you deserved it. Acting like he should bend the rules for you is idiotic, and a risk of his job security.
Just because your husband is a police officer doesn't mean that you can break the law. YDI
