Yeah... I'm in the same boat. I've been working at my job for 4 years and no raise. My boss says it's because we get tips, but I'm still making the same amount as people who just started. Annoyinggggg. FYL.

maybe it's time to look for a new job...

Wow people all over the country are taking pay cuts and getting laid off because they company they work for is losing money out of there ass yet there are still people who think there life is over because they got a small raise quit whining you got a raise for crying out loud if you don't want the extra money I'll gladly take it

wow i can sympathize. i busted my ass for min wage, 7.15 an hour for 2 years and asked for 3 raises, each time i was told probably. they forgot everytime. then i told them i quit. my last pay went up a dollar an hour for my last 3 hour day

Try working someplace six years, and having people start at as much as you're making.

You don't work at a movie theater do you? That is exactly what is happening to me... 3 years and I only make a little bit more money than everyone else.

This happened to me when I worked in Retail. I was there a year, got denied a raise, and then they hired new people for more than what I was working, not to mention better schedules. I got a job the next week, for a dollar and fifty more, so I quit - right before Black Friday.

Oh my god look at the friking economy. Whos getting paid well? Be glad you got a raise and quit whining.
