Today, I got a raise. A 10 cent raise. I have worked at my job for over 3 years. I now make 20 cents more an hour than people that have only worked there 3 minutes. FML

Your lucky to even have a job. Stop whining and take the money. geezz!

Well I've worked at my job for 2 1/2 years and still make minimum wage. They told me my raise was when minimum wage was raised to 7.40.

by any chance do you work at the krusty krab?

thats why i quit my job at mcdonalds. 2.5 years and i had made 25 cents in raises. less than a year at walmart, and ive made 1.80 in raises

The same thing happened to me. I worked at a place for a year and a half and they gave me a FIVE cent raise. Then, after another year and a half, I found out people starting there (with no prior experience) were making more than me. I threatened to quit if they didn't give me a raise, so they gave me a 20 cent raise. So then, I was making as much as the people starting there. Needless to say, I am NEVER going back to that job.

At least you get more for being there longer...ive been at my job 6 years angpd get paid the same as someone who has been there 3 months...

Look, stop giving her shit and give her suggestions. For example: if you put aside the 20 cents extra per hour for every hour you work for one year and live on the salary you've been living on your entire time there, you will have (assuming you work the standard 9-5 job, 8 hours a day, 300 days a year) an extra 480 DOLLARS, which we both can agree, is a lot. Working an extra hundred hours a year (so two extra per week) will get you to 500 dollars saved that year. Say you keep this job for five years? 2500 dollars. And if you get another ten cent raise two years down the road and keep that aside for five years, it will amount to 3600 DOLLARS. Baby steps.

20¢ goes a long way. Especially if, since you've been working there longer, you get more hours.
