Today, I was going to ask this girl I love to homecoming. I set up a scavenger hunt, and my friend led her through it. At the end of the scavenger hunt I had a note that said, "Homecoming?" She said yes and hugged my friend. When I told her it was me who was asking, she laughed and said no. FML

Today, I went to my Homecoming dance. I had a great time until some fat girl kept trying to dance with my date, even though he politely asked her to stop. I decided to intervene. I found myself pinned to the floor by a fat girl crushing on my date, who was cheering her on as she tackled me. FML

If your best friend has liked you for a long time, and is that possessive of you, then you are not his best friend. He is showing his romantic feelings for you the best way you'll let him. But those feelings aren't related to friendship as much as something more. I don't know if I explained that very well, but it's almost mean to be best friends with someone who wants to date you. You should have distanced that relationship a long time ago, and allowed him time to get over it.

I think we were wrong about Op's friend. I think he is just old fashioned... so old fashioned he wanted to rape and pillage the Op's house and take her as his. The date got in the way. As a viking he did what was natural, violence. We have been very negative towards this poor viking boy. THey discovered america first, they wore cool hats, and we have yet to accept them for who they are. I think we should all just take a step back and UNDERSTAND.
