Today, I got called into the school by my daughter's teacher. Apparently my daughter informed her class that over the weekend she spent her time with her daddy watching porn stars while her mummy was at work. It took a long time to convince her they were actually watching a TV show called "Pawn Stars". FML

The teacher sounds slow. She could have asked your daughter to elaborate and using context clues, she would figure out what your daughter actually watched. As cart that is is the person you have to trust to educate your child.

No one said anything about doing that in front if the class. She could have pulled the child to the side and asked her to explain herself a little further. It would take half a second to figure out what she really meant.

i once said **** stars instead of pawnstars too.

Yeah the name is easy to mispronounce but it's a great show! I love pawn stars!

Rick said when the producer asked him what he wanted to call the show he said pawn stars because drunk people flipping through the channel guide would make that mistake. Same with their spinoff, pawnography.

I remember the ad for that show while I was in England. Had to do a double take the first time I heard it

I claim that your daughter really said Pawn Stars but that the teacher - thinking of nothing but **** - just understood '**** stars'. The teacher should be accused of questionable morals, not you.

That teacher is trying to break your marriage up !

Look on the bright side - at least it wasn't "Hardcore Pawn".

This is why I hate teachers for children sometimes, they always get involved even if it's none of their business and especially knowing how kids say the darnest things

While it it true that there will be times that teachers will get involved in things and it turns out to not be a real issue, teachers are mandatory reporters. If they have genuine concern about a student's welfare they MUST follow it up in some way. And you know what? Sometimes concerned teachers will "get involved" with something that is perfectly fine/safe/innocent etc. But it's better to be safe than sorry. In regards to this particular situation, I had never heard of "Pawn Stars" before and if a student had said that to me I would feel obliged to follow it up. Yes it's a bit embarrassing for the people involved in this case, but it probably had to be done.
