Today, I got mad at my parents and threatened to run away. Things got so bad that I packed a bag and left, planning to hide in my front yard to teach them a lesson. It's been two hours, and I'm still standing behind a bush in front of my house while they make no effort to look for me. FML

They're not going after to you because they know you'll be back when it's dinner time.

Maybe they know you're there and are just waiting for you to get over your snit fit.

Why would they go look for you? Your just gonna go back with your tail between your legs.

Teaching your parents a lesson makes you seem like a spoiled brat. I'd like to be you did something to set them off.

If ur gonna run away.... Run away!! Dont be gay!

Sounds to me like a spoiled child, grow up and be the adult , then maybe you will get some respect.

I've never understood the "Oh my god, my parents are like the worst people evuurr, I'm running away!"-thing. What were you trying to accomplish? Do you really think your parents will apologize to you for whatever has happened after that? You only look like an idiot who is disrespectful and doesn't appreciate the things your parent do for you. Stop being such a pussy and grow up!

I ran away at 16 and people told me I was being childish. Two weeks later my parents reported me missing, a week after that the cops found me, two weeks after that and the courts decided I was better off on my own, and I have been since. Some teens have a valid reason to run away.

Yes, I can understand it's the better thing to do in some occassions. I know some people who ran away from home and their lives got a lot better than it would have been if they stayed at home. I guess I should have pointed that out. But what I meant with my comment is that the feeling I get from this FML that it was just a random outburst from OP. He/she didn't think this through and I don't think OP was serious with his/her threat. I mean hiding in the bushes in front of their house doesn't sound very serious, does it?

240- I agree with you about the OP, the way the FML is worded makes them sound like an immature little ****. I just wanted to clarify that not every kid who runs away from home is being childish and immature. But I can now see that you understand that.

I did this when I was in first grade. They probably just realize you're an attention *****. So continue to entertain yourself with your WiFi and sooner or later you'll come to your senses
