Agghhh... I love my cats, but I don't think I'd ever stuff them. To me, that would be more heartbreaking to see them; "OH KITTY'S AL- oh wait." FYL for taking the trouble and having the dog rip her up... yikes, that had to be awful to see; like she died all over again. But, YDI for doing that without thinking of the dog in the first place. I mean, smells funny, squishy, looks like former feline room mate... to a dog that is an obvious chew toy. Should have put it somewhere safer.

In my personal opinion, I think that's disgusting and I would never have my dead animal stuffed. If I ever got over the grossness, it would be even more heartbreaking to see it every day. I think you should have buried it. Or if you wanted to keep some part of it, keep the ashes in a special place -- where the dog couldn't find them.

seriously who gets there cat stuffed that is just plain weird, get her cremated and just place the urn on a mantle or something. I can guarantee you know one will want to come by if they got to sit there and see your creepy stuffed cat starring at them
