Raspberry or Strawberry center ? :D
Okay, I don't know about the rest of you girls out there, but my dad is so incredibly ignorant that he didn't even know when I had my first period, let alone buy me a card for it. He probably was just trying to make the best of an awkward situation. Be glad he cares.
It might be embarrassing, but sweetie, you are not f-d. You are LUCKY. most dads would not be NEARLY as supportive as your dad. I'm 30 (ish) and it's just recently that I can tangentially talk to my dad about "female" things.
Ewww. Btw period suckkk big balls.! My period likes holidays and special events fml "/
It was kind of embarrassing, but try not to feel too bad. I mean, my dad would have freaked out and been all grossed out about talking about it. Which I can understand, but it's kind of nice to have some support lol. Your life isn't over, hun, just take the card and try to stay off the topic xP
Nothin to be embarrassed about, Idc if my family and friends know infact my guy friends know it. I say it like whatever its perfectly natural and everyone goes through stuff like that.(: Don't worry sweetie. It's better cause now you can buy pads/tampons and you won't be akward around them cause they already know about it (;
Caring points for dad. LOL, oh and YDI for being a girl. Now if you were a guy and got your period then FYL. Getting a natural occurrence and your dad trying to have some fun doesn't = FYL.
Okay you know what dude, **** you. "YDI for being a girl"?! It's bastards that you that make me sick to my stomach.
Yeah the OP should have picked the y chromosome. Smart people do smart choices before they were born. :)
Well... yeah. Lots of women choose to adopt or not have children at all, regardless of their reproductive ability. There is more to being a woman than having a fully functioning uterus and ovaries. And you just said that societies have different views about what makes a woman a woman... so asking if I would feel less of a woman because I was infertile "considering what society thinks makes a woman".... renders your point rather null. .... Though I actually have no idea what you were trying to say, really, as it kind of made no sense in regards to this particular discussion. I was saying it was normal to be embarassed and that in no way makes the OP sexually repressed or ashamed of herself, though. I didn't say it was unimportant nor that it was important, rather the comment I was originally responding to is what declared that for everyone.
I think that's sweet that your Dad cares about you.

Oh, God, your life SUCKS. My dad wouldn't even want to KNOW I started my period. :) He'll just have my mom take care of it. :)
