My dad got my mom good in a PTSD nightmare. It has turned into a family joke and he makes sure not to run out if his meds anymore. I don't see how people can't bieve how this would happen. Spousal abuse usually has lame cover stories, not funny ones.

She probably needed it. I'm sure she has gotten out of hand in the past. You can apply this smack down to that instance!!!!

Doesn't sound like your wife is in any hurry to corroborate your story. Tell her it would be a shame if the muggers turned up in your next dream. A damn shame.

Well, unfortunately, stories like that are common among men who actually DO beat their wives, so that's probably why they're concerned. However, if you and your wife know it's the truth, then think nothing of it. My brother got mad once and threw our cordless phone across the room and accidentally hit my mom in the face with it. She went to work with a black eye and everyone kept asking if things were okay at home, thinking my dad had hit her, no matter what she said. Though she finally just made up ridiculous stories about it (like they got in a fist fight over the who got last slice of pizza), and they eventually realized she was telling the truth XD
