Today, I had a panic attack. Not on a crowded train, or an airplane, or in school, or any of the expected places. It was in my yoga class, which my therapist recommended for me, while I was in a dead-body position. FML

I get panic attacks for no reason and it's the worst feeling ever, like you're going to die. Do what I do, OP, take deep breaths when you feel one starting and keep telling yourself there's nothing wrong. Eventually you'll be able to control it rather than it controling you.

Panic attacks suck. I used to have them all the time, wake up in the middle of the night with one and what-not. They can come at unexpected times, like what is supposed to be the most restful yoga position. After a while, it's easy to start fearing the panic attacks themselves, but hang in there. It'll get better.

I love when someone asks what op means.

Do you have panic attacks when your sleeping?

Don't worry op, this isn't uncommon. Yoga can cause strong emotional reactions at unexpected times. I have panic attacks and this has happened to me too. Stick with the yoga. The muscle and breathing control you learn will help you avoid or lessen panic attacks in the future.
