Report him to the police for neglect. That'll teach him!
maybe if u had been playing better he wouldn't have become bored and left. YDI for not being a crowd pleaser :) umm find a horse and ride it home?
So no one on your team could give you a lift home? Hmm your team must not like ya too much.
options: - ride with a friend - ride with the coach - use your phone to call your dad instead of posting on FML - use someone else's phone - cab or bus - start walking - start hooking
46 I agree.... and maybe if she rode her dad he wouldn't have ditched her, maybe.
80 Wincest!!
it might not be a school team
My rugby team doesn't take a bus to away games. We all just drive to the location ourselves.
Might be a non school travel team. My sister is in a volleyball travel team and my dad has to drive her almost every weekend to a place hours away for tournaments.
I'm sorry OP,your father is an incompetent moron! Call him and tell him to go back and get you or you'll turn him into child protective services. How the hell does a parent forget their child?!?! I wish becoming a parent required a license just like driving does. You failed your parental test, you're not allowed to procreate!!
you can't stop a human being from having sex... and what if the condom breaks?
Seriously? He didn't forget about his child, he just forgot that his child needed a ride home. Most likely having to drive OP home isn't an every time thing, as many sports teams ride a bus to away games, and it just slipped his mind. Besides, if OP bothered to take the time to post an FML about it, it probably wasn't a dangerous situation. Save the procreation limitation for those who have fifteen kids they can't afford and haven't discovered the cause of it yet.
Did you not read the part where the father thought the OP had another ride home? He didn't know he was the ride back, which isn't so surprising really. Alot of the times friends hang out together after playing a game, especially if they win, they'll go to celebrate. It does suck that the OP was left, but it's not the end of the world, they're not that far away. I know an hour drive can be quite the walk if you have no other choice, but it could be alot worse. I think you're REALLY over reacting about how bad the father is for making a mistake. Calling child services is completely out of line as well...just because the dad made a mistake about not being the ride, doesn't mean he's a horrible dad in any way.
Interesting. A mistake is buying your child the wrong color of shirt. Parental fail is leaving your child in another city. Y'all are entitled to you're own opinions, as am I. As for me "REALLY over reacting" I have children from the ages of 9 to 27, and two grandchildren. Not once have I ever left one of my kids behind anywhere! It's the parents responsibility to verify their child has a ride home from a sporting event BEFORE leaving. That's what a good parent would do; make sure, beyond doubt that their child has transportation arranged before leaving. in this day and age where children are kidnapped, raped, molested and murdered no parent can EVER assume anything and just leave their child behind.Period.
109... I feel really sorry for your children if you think it's Ok to forget and leave your kids in another city with no way home.
Refer to OP's reply to the first comment. She told her dad she was riding with a friend and then changed her mind expecting him to still be there after everyone else had gone home. Enough with the righteous anger.
If you can post this on FML, you obviously have access to a computer. Skype to your home phone. Or send an email to your dad's cell phone; he'll receive it as a text. Or flat-out email him if he's likely to be at the computer. If you're not posting this from a computer, but in fact from a phone, then you are an idiot. Since I don't see a "Posted from iPhone app" note, though, I'm assuming the less likely case that you somehow have a computer with you.
FMLs don't have to be posted right as they happen you know. Obviously, the OP isn't still there. It's just the way they wrote it.
Maybe I'm just too optimistic, but I see this as a chance to see a new place and buy some cool stuff if you have money. You have at least an hour while your dad comes back. This is only an FML if you don't have much of an imagination.

This is true. I have 3 maybe 4?posted (anonymously) it's fun to get them posted but never fun having strangers tell you you're a ******* idiot and deserve it! This is probably why so many OP's stay silent.
