Australia apparently.
Pay phones still exist? The cop must not have known what it was.
Never underestimate how suspicious pay phones can be.
I don't know which sucks more: That you have to use a pay phone or that someone doesn't know what a pay phone is and thought you were doing something suspect.
That is pretty sketch, everyone has cell phones now haha. Jk
Wherever OP lives, they obviously have pay phones...but, do bigger cities (NYC, Chicago, etc.) still have pay phones? The only pay phone I have seen around here is the one Tom Cruise used in Rain Man (and it is just the booth).
they still have those? I haven't seen one in years
Don't feel bad. I once was stopped by a police car for "walking" and "looking at the store windows". They said "we've seen you walking aimlessly for the last 45 minutes" I had to explain that I was exercising (it was around 10 pm) .
Who goes outside to exercise at 10 PM?
People that don't like to get up early, people that work all day, people that don't like to exercise in the heat.

There might be a gun in the top, with a mysterious caller/murderer dictating your every movement. I use movies as real-life examples too.
It's now illegal if you make a call that is not on an iPhone
