Today, I had to explain to my boyfriend that the reason I don't want to stay overnight at his house is because I still occasionally wet the bed. FML

I was deathly afraid of this issue with my wife, all ended well, we were married fir 4 years before I completlystopped. I feel your pain.

OP, I am sorry. Do know that it tends to get better with time. I am now 28 and have had this problem my whole life, although now it's down to about 1-2X per year. I know that doctors can do a lot, so I would recommend getting checked out (although the medications didn't work for me). I am married and have a wonderful 3 yo daughter, so it is not a automatic dead end for a relationship. I sometimes have to change the sheets in the middle of the night... but my husband is VERY understanding. Good luck!

Finally, an intelligent comment on this topic! I hope her boyfriend was understanding. There's definitely a shock and a knee-jerk "Yuck" reaction factor here, but hopefully once he got past that...

This. You are not doing anything wrong, OP. If your boyfriend is not understanding, he shouldn't be your boyfriend. And if you went to the doctor (I think someone already mentioned this) all they would tell you is not to drink anything three hours before bed and cut down on caffine. Though if it's serious there are medications, but they'd rather try this first.

I would definitely see a doctor about that, it can be a sign of reproductive cancers, especially if it has gotten worse or improvement has stopped.
