Cook him outdated eggs and bacon with moldy toast and see if he's not a ******.

Check each week for expired food or pasta sauce lids and mold. Or have him eat it first. I throw out food if its rancid. Also, bleach or Lysol the fridge. I have been intentionally poisoned. So I take food looking off or exp dates seriously. Even I it's my roommate's food.
