I did run, but I stopped when I saw another squirrel looking at me and that's when the first one caught up. Greedy and determined little bastards I tell ya! (I'm OP, by the way... And a girl.)

Haven't you ever read the book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie?" I'm pretty sure the principal applies to squirrels too.

There's probably a sign posted somewhere saying, "Please Don't Feed The Animals." It serves you right for feeding a squirrel a cookie, which is sweet. Congratulations, you've just turned an innocent squirrel into a sugar addict. Poor thing probably had a sugar rush and knew it needed more cookies. Just be thankful that he didn't call his squirrel mates to mob you, while they searched inside and out for more cookies. That'd be a sight to behold!
