Today, I learned that several thousand people in my state got tickets this month for driving and talking on the phone. My mom called to tell me this while I was driving. I'm now part of that statistic. Thanks, mom. FML

Seriously, yeah I'm against it, but I'm willing to bet a good amount of these commenters are being total hypocrites.

Why is this the argument that morons make when they have no argument? "Yeah, but I bet you do it too!" It's just another version of "I know you are but what I?" Pathetic.

Because some people have common sence. People texting, calling, reading and whatnot in cars pisses should lose their license. I got friends whos been mauled or nearly killed by drivers who were texting, calling, fixing make up or whatever. The ignorance within some people is stunning!

Your assuming I think talking on the phone is bad when driving. Which I do, however so is eating, putting on make-up, playing your music too loud ect. There's lots of things that Distract us when driving it happens we don't have to outlaw it every time someone dies for it.

lukep135 - If you actually believe that, then you're an idiot. Because using the phone while driving isn't just dangerous for you; you put EVERY OTHER DRIVER ON THE ROAD at risk. The laws are there to protect you and all other drivers. If you don't like the law, then prepare to pay some hefty fines.

It was You that decided to pick up the phone while driving instead of pulling over or letting it go to voicemail. In the future you may decide picking up a cheap bluetooth handsfree for your car or a cheap headunit with bluetooth included is cheaper than a fine.

I can ignore my calls and texts all day long while driving. If and when I get time to call back/text then I do. You don't HAVE to pick it up genius. YDI

don't try and blame it on your mum, it is entirely your fault for picking up the phone while driving!

Ever heard of a bluetooth? Or at least a corded headset? Or is that cause for a ticket also?

Dude. Don't pick up the phone. That's your fault. Not hers.
