You couldn't hear him starting the mower/using the mower? I mean, it's not like the things have stealth-mode or something, they're pretty loud.

Err, I know I usually complain about people constantly being glued to their phones too much, but I think in this case you probably shouldn't have left it behind on the grass :P YDI for being a bit silly, but your life also sucks in that a silly moment is going to cost you a new phone.

You deserve it. Shouldn't leave thing where they don't belong. A phone definitely doesn't belong on the lawn unless you beside it.

Why would u leave ur phone in the grass while ur dad was mowing? even if he hadn't started yet as soon as u hear the mower start up u should have ran out to get the phone. not very smart op... not very smart at all
