Today, I let my dog outside to play. He shat on three cars, played dead in the middle of the street, and chased my neighbors' cat into a pool. When he came back into the house, he had a note taped to his back saying "IOU 1 lawsuit". FML

Thank you 42. That was the exact reason why I posted it. I never knew so much people on here would take this post to heart. It isn't that serious to hate me for it.

I find that the monthly payments on leasing a dog are quite reasonable, but the interest is just ridiculous.

Sorry but YDI for letting your dog outside without supervision or an electric fence.

Why do you even have a dog if you're so irresponsible enough to not watch it as it runs through the neighborhood. you deserve that lawsuit and the dog deserves a more caring owner!

Maybe consider dog training lessons, or putting up a fence.

You deserved it. You don't just let your dog play out on the street like a kid. He could have gone from playing dead to being dead and it would have been on you.

YDI. Don't let your dog out unsupervised unless it's in a fenced in yard. You deserve that

It is the responsibility of a good owner to ensure that their animals behave properly, are well contained or supervised. Left unattended my dogs would never leave my yard because of advanced training. Yes, it takes a TON of work but I would much rather have a well behaved dog than a dog that cruises the neighborhood taking the risk of getting hit by a car and killed. You seriously have to consider these two things: Would you feel remorse if your family pet was killed or stolen and are you willing to put in the time and effort to ensure they are safe and well cared for at all times? If you answered no to either of those, you more than likely shouldn't own a pet outside of a houseplant.

Wait you let your dog play outside without any supervision or fencing around him? Regardless of the damage he did cause and the potential for more damage (he could have bit someone or destroyed property), what if he had been hit by a car while he was in the middle of the street? Or stolen by a stranger? What the hell is wrong with you? Even an extremely well-behaved dog should never be completely unsupervised and unbouned in any way.

It sounds kinda like you let your dog out to wreak havoc on the neighborhood!

If you saw all this happening, why didn't you stop him? Or was this just something you found out after the fact?
