If that's his way of breaking up then he is a pussy. Immediately confront him on this, and be forceful when you do so. As a straight guy, I would expect that kind of reaction to call me out. Further bullshit is possible, like "it was a mistake", but if the guy is a facebook veteran then you know he's full of shit.

i know this is kind of late, but are you sure it wasn't just a mistake? chances are, it wasn't, but you never know. facebook's notifications can be pretty misleading sometimes. like once, i unchecked my single status off of my profile because it was right there under my picture and i didn't want to look desperate. next thing i know everyone had a notification saying '[me] is no longer listed as single.' I didn't realize this until my mom came in my room after checking her facebook and going 'oooooh, who's the lucky guy? (winkwink)' god damnit, facebook.

i feel your pain sweetie.... my ex did the same thing then wen he did change it back i want his #1 *on myspace* anymore but he tried telling me that his homegirl was just using his account to get HER ex jealous. *which btw i didnt believe* that chick just had his kid about a month ago. meaning he was f***ing her while he was with me. confront the bastard but dont fall for any bs.
