This needs a little more detail... Did you date him then he left you for your cousin and you stayed friends? Or was he your best guy friend and you fell in love with him but he met and fell in love with your cousin ? Or did you meet him through your cousin and fell in love? I think chances are is the second one because I'm pretty sure you won't pick out an engagement ring with an ex of some sort. But I'm sorry:/ that must be hard! Stay strong! I would say tell him to get it out there if you haven't already but you probably shouldn't for your friendship with him and your relationship with your cousins sake :/ keep your head up! You will find the one some day!

I don't quite understand why this is an FML? On first reading, it sounds like your cousin is getting married and wants the help of you and your boyfriend. So perhaps some more information is necessary.
