Hey guys, OP here! I have no idea how this login system works so I think I ended up creating a new profile. Anyway, for now I'm better, thank you so much for your support! As for a more permanent solution, fortunately I'm moving out next year to go to college, and so I'll be able to sort myself out with medication then. I'm honestly super surprised that my FML ended up published - thanks again for your sympathies!

Hi OP! Have you considered acupuncture? I suffer from severe pms that started at age 11 so my mom was wary of putting me on the pill at such a young age. It worked like a dream and was the best part of my day. Though I don’t do it anymore and have switched to the pill due to insurance issues I would highly highly recommend it. Contact me if you need more information!
Your follow-up comment had your full name, you should change that.
Damn, America is wild. In Canada as long as you’re 16 or older your medical records are not allowed to be shared with parents without consent, and birth control is like $10/month uninsured. Plus in January 2018 all prescribed medications will be paid for by the government for anyone under 25.
seriously?! that is awesome. mine & my sons impodtant meds are covered already thankfully.
Sometimes it just hurts horribly and nothing you can do about it. It generally gets much better after pregnancy and child birth if you ever choose to go that route. Although sometimes I think it's probably not better, you've just experienced far worse, so you look at it differently.
But now that you're on birth control, you may at some point decide to lower your inhibitions. You may be stronger than that, but your mom cares about you
My wife and I are Christians and one of our daughters had the same issue and we allowed her to get the birth control because we TRUST our daughter. Too many people go overboard with this kind of stuff. If you raised your child as correctly as possible there should not be a problem. Shame on parents we do not trust.
I know it's been said, but you really should get checked for Endometriosis. If you're just going off to college, you're only what, 17? 18? The amount of pain you're describing is not normal! Yes, most of us experience cramps, but it's not as painful as you seem to be experiencing. I am the youngest of 3 girls, between us we have 1 child (we're all married, and in our 40's). We all have Endometriosis. If we had taken care of this when we were still younger, there is a very good chance we could all be moms. Getting rid of the pain is a great reason to get checked, but missing out on being a mom, that just SUCKS!!! ((Of course there could be other reasons you're in so much pain, and most are curable/preventable))
Do it anyways. Keep it on the down low. Find a clinic or planned parenthood.

If you can find one, and a way to get to it, you can sneak out to a Planned Parenthood clinic, and they might be able to give you hormone therapy- as in, birth control. Otherwise, you could possibly try phrasing your request for birth control as requesting hormone therapy. It might be enough to trick her if you can get the doctor and nurse on board.
**** sake, don't let her control your pain religion will be fine and just as crazy if you have less pain. nothing good in pain
