Sounds like you cross contaminated yourself while cooking and that's why you were the only 1 to get sick
If only one got food poisoning then there is a good chance it was not from your food.
I don't think it was the spaghetti that did it. Just a guess. Think about what you ate before.
Then it wasnt a food borne illness
OP's masterful plan of giving her friends food poisoning failed, and in an ironic twist ended like an evil plan in a cartoon.
OP, I'm not sure that can exactly happen with food poisoning. my understanding is it's either bad food or it's not. I guess I'm just not understanding how you would get sick but the other two people would be fine, if they ate identical food, and it actually was food poisoning. Are you sure you don't just have a stomach bug not related to the food?
almost the same thing (vice versa :) happened to me once. A few of my Egyptian friends and I went to a cheap fish restaurant in Dubai and the next day all of them were sick but I was the only one fine. I guess I have a strong stomach or something
In that instance though everyone else got sick and you were the only one who didn't. That actually does make in pretty likely that you just got lucky and happen to have a strong stomach. In the OP's case though she would have to be the only one out of three people to not have a strong stomach and that's pretty unlikely. It is far more likely that the OP got food poisoning from something else they ate that day or that they caught a stomach bug and just thought it was the food.
well, it would've been worse if all of you had got poisoning. And yet worse if only the other two people had
What is "spaghetti bolognese?"
I never heard someone getting sick from bolognese, the meat and vegs are cooked for ages, so unless it's a two week old warm up, there's no way you could get sick from it..salmonella and other bacteria prefer oxidizing meat (pig) or fish, often egg too but hardly nicely cooked beef. I must be something else your body didn't like..get well soon OP.
If you were the only one to get sick then it wasn't the spaghetti.

Well, honestly if I were to make food for other people I'd rather myself get sick than the people I'm serving. But still, food poisoning sucks.
I think I would prefer it that way
