I have a terrible MIL but I learned to ignore her fast! I'm sure you'll learn, too. It's a pain in the ass to have difficult in-laws but the good men behind them make all the drama worthwhile!
Take the hint.
Monster in Law
He must really love you if he was willing to have a screaming match with his mother to defend you! He sounds like a keeper!(:
he sounds like a keeper he really must luuuuuuuv uuuuuuuuu ;^)

So you like to eat a bit. There's nothing wrong with that. Grub in and be happy.
You should definitely consider who your family will be when you decide to get married, because you will be stuck with them. I made the mistake of marrying a man who's mother I could not get along with and it didn't end well.
This is when you and your fiance need to put your foot down with his mother and make it clear that IF you have children and if they are overweight, she will keep her mouth shut if she wants to be in their lives.
