Today, I noticed my 5-gallon glass vase/aquarium was leaking at the base. When I went to move the vase so I could transfer everything to a new aquarium, the bottom completely detached, sending water, sand, sea shells and fish crap everywhere. FML

You should always take all the water out of a tank before you attempt to move it. At least most of the water.

It's amazing how far what looks like a relatively small volume of water will spread, and how much damage it can do if freed from its container...

Would you dumbaasses stop commenting about the fish at least 15 people have i think thats enough ps i like fish there good pets so i aint haten on the ffish

So, why would you try and lift a tank full of water? Common sense remove at least half of the water. It has to be removed in order to repair it anyways.

Um, derp? Doesn't a leak at the bottom already imply that the bottom is unstable? What, did you expect it to fix itself just so you could lift it up?

So why didn't you drain it before you moved it? It doesn't take a genius to know it isn't a good idea to move a leaking fish tank. You deserved it!
