Today, I ordered flowers to be delivered to my workplace on Tuesday. To myself. For my birthday. Because even though birthdays are posted in the monthly newsletter, mine gets left out every year. For the past four years. FML

Today, it's my birthday. My boss's birthday is 5 days away. Instead of wishing me happy birthday, the staff decided to surprise my boss with an early gift. We also had to take a picture of him with everyone. I work at another branch alone, and had to post the picture to social media. Happy Birthday to me, I guess. FML

Today, I found out that my work threw me a birthday party alongside my coworker’s birthday. Said coworker spread a rumor, telling everyone that I wanted each person to buy me flowers and cake. Everyone thought that I was a weirdo for asking for those things from them. I wasn't at work today. FML

Today, I resorted to buying some expensive flowers and sending them to my boss anonymously with a mysterious love letter, just to get her to lighten the hell up and stop constantly harassing and berating me over every little thing. FML

Today, it's my birthday. At my workplace, we always get a cake for whoever's birthday it is. They somehow forgot about me. I've been working there for a year, and my grandparents and my dad own the restaurant I work at. FML

Today, my fiancé forgot my birthday. I did however remember to tell him we were sending his mother flowers, for her birthday, which falls a week after mine. We've been together 10 years. I sent her flowers on my birthday. FML

Today, it was my birthday and everyone in the office chipped in to buy me a card, and nothing but a card. It had a pre-written message on it and a space to write "Love, *insert name*" where everyone signed their names. The "Love" was crossed out and replaced with "From". FML

I know the pain of being forgotten, OP. Some people just tend to get left out a lot. But hey, you remembered to love yourself, and that matters more than you might think. Sometimes, giving yourself a little love can be the best thing you can do for your well-being. Hopefully someone else remembered too. In any case, happy birthday. I hope it got better for you.

I have been in a similar situation OP. Every year I mention it, every year I make sure coworkers know my birthday is XX day and every year the birthdays before and after mine get celebrated while mine is ignored.

Oddly enough I always watch my coworkers get flowers on their bday from various people and I've never gotten anything in work from my bf/family/etc lol so I was thinking about sending myself a fruit basket out of pity. Btw Tuesday is my bday as well ? happy birthday in advance
