Today, I overheard my 11-year-old son giving my 8-year-old daughter the sex talk. FML

So? I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but I don't see the problem :p

Hey at least some kids get the talk from their parents. I learned from the dictionary, TV and my friends when I was eight. However I still think the brother shouldn't be telling the little sister. Getting g the talk from your parents would be better IMO.

Your picture went well with your comment. Regarding the comment, however: This isn't an unusual occurence. When a kid learns something like this, a lot of the time they have a desire to show off their knowledge to a younger or uninformed kid. It makes them seem smarter to themselves.

Well now YOU don't have to tell her to prevent awkwardness. I remember when my parents told me, I started laughing. Very awkward.

Have you had the sex talk with him? At 11 I didn't know what sex was .

Thank you someone else like me kids should be kids no need to grow up so fast

I knew about sex and all the organs and stuff since I was 4 because of a human body encyclopedia I bugged my mom to get me.

Your children will learn about sex one way or another. the choice is yours.

If he's giving the talk now he'll be bashing her boyfriend's head in with a baseball bat later. Be thankful he's trying to protect her =]

Maybe you should intervene here.
