Because that's how grown ups handle things.
It's actually best she reacted this way. Can you imagine if she didn't and a year or two down the road, this happened?
Obviously you are too immature...look at the girls you date.
She sounds like a real winner. Think you might have escaped the bullet here OP. Be grateful...what a childish bitch you almost married.
Why do people insist on such spontaneity for a proposal? This is easily the biggest decision you'll ever make in your life. The decision to get married should be a series of discussions about your future job plans, number of children, parenting style, short and long term goals, who works, where to live, etc. Once you are confident that you and your partner share compatible goals, you propose. You can surprise him/her with the manner of proposal, but people who spring a proposal on someone are setting themselves up for heartbreak. TL;DR? YDI and she's right.
that's ****** up.
I know FMLs are short, but definitely feels as though some pertinent information is missing. Also you wouldn't trust a non-sober person to make any other major life decision like writing a will, or getting surgery, so why would you believe what she said once she had drank all the alcohol in sight? There is literally a whole chunk of information missing, likely you guys ending up fighting before this comment occurred, where's the details of what you called her? There is no denying that alcohol is an issue in her life but I also feel that after 3 years you would know that it is, and if you are proposing your are essentially saying I'm ready to take you as your are, good and bad traits. You are immature for not seeing this

I don't understand why people stay in relationships if they don't want it to last long time. FYL OP
You're better off OP.
