Today, I had to go get my fiancé's car so it wouldn't get impounded after he was arrested at 12 a.m. and charged with a felony. I just got out of prison in March, and we get married next week. FML

We don't know what he's in for. Still, even if it's something that you consider not very important, it's a fact that his life is going to be very complicated during and after he completes his term. What I would hope for you in this situation is that you put taking care of yourself first. Please think of what's best for you, letting that take priority over everything. I wish I had done this when I was young and stupid instead of letting myself be mistreated because I was such a loving and loyal partner.

You ought to wait for him until he gets out of prison. By then he will have become an expert in tossing your salad, even if there is an adjustment period for him to get used to doing it on a female.
