All that harsh stuff won't help, believe me. I use this stuff called Cetaphil, dunno if you have it in America but it's amazing. Seriously don't use anything that says it's for oily skin, they're too strong and will only make the acne worse. Just use stuff that says it's for sensitive skin. I also went on a birth control pill that's recommended for acne and it really helped.
Also, MarsBar person, you've obviously never had acne, so you don't really have a right to comment on it.
If you're going to continue using that combination, be sure that they are all nutrogena- including the FACIAL moisturizer because I have sensitive skin but I have never had a problem with it: my skin is clear too. Though you really should be more careful- those things do have warning labels to "consult a physician if symptoms persist" and it's not recommended to use two acne products at the same time.
This happened to me just the other day, good thing it went away after a week, but it hurt so bad and the night after I did it I went to a gathering with all my friends and they were gonna take lots of pictures so i had to put makeup on top of the burn and that hurt really bad. it sucked really bad but i learned from it, i don't use any acne creams or anything to dry out my skin anymore without making sure i put lotion on and read the back.
Test this stuff in the crook of your elbow overnight before you smear it all over yourself! And that goes for combined substances that you've used separately.
SPOT TEST, BITCH.
OP- SERIOUS ADVICE: I'm a skin therapist. that's what salicylic acid does. you have to read the labels carefully. find a better dermatologist ASAP & use only one or the other for now and sunscreen of at least 30 every single day. if you continue to peel this badly stop everything until you see a doc. best of luck!!!
correct - when OP had that kind of unwanted reaction, the right way was to stop and see a professional.

I've been there, OP. So many acne treatments have done more harm than good! Believe me, I know how much it sucks.
Do it yourself dermabrasion? What's next, do it yourself breast augmentation?
