Today, I’ve been growing dreads for two years after I lost my hair to chemo. After visiting my boyfriend’s family, we all contracted lice from the kids. Even though I did the shampoo and treatment, my locks are too coiled to effectively comb out all the nits. I have to shave my head again. FML

Today, my boyfriend, who hasn't shaved in a month, went to go shave. I was pretty excited since his beard was starting to make my face itch whenever we kissed. When he came out of the bathroom he had a handlebar mustache. FML

There's no shame in getting headlice- only keeping it. That's what my mom used to say. And its true. I bet one of you has grade school age siblings who gave it to you.

Its not really 'stupid girls', more that society as a whole has been forcing this image upon women since the ages of the silver screen. With the advent of the television, its only more reinforcement of this ideal. Not to mention families passing it down through the generations, 'How I met your mother/father/brother/sister/ape' stories. Rethink your wording of what you stated before telling someone to 'grow up'. Statements such as that only make you appear to be an anonymous internet ass. Grab a thesaurus! Spice that post up!
