mollymaykitty tells us more.
I've had this ulcer for over a two months. I randomly get sick from it when food has too much spices on it. The lunch today was spicy though you couldn't see the spices on the outside. I took one bite of it, threw the rest away, and within a few hours I got sick.

The funnier part about this FML is the fact the the OP seems to be over the age of 14 and still receives detentions period. Never had any at my high school. It was either learn something or leave the room or a suspension. Detention isn't really an affective discipline method after grade six.
Ulcers are brutal, and they aren't necessarily limited to adults! I had one as a kid, too. It was horrible. Can you get a doctors note?
what a bitch!
at least you have a school nurse. I've never had a school nurse in any school I've gone to. i don't think we have them in Canada.
A school nurse should not attempt to decide if you are faking or not. She should believe the pain you complain about is real, even if there are no other visible symptoms, and send you home. The only exception would be if she had to give you a drug that could have very bad consequences for you if you're faking, but I don't think there is such a drug that is administered when the sole symptom is pain. School nurses who don't send you home because they think you are faking are out of line. Keeping kids at school is not their job, if you are faking and as a result you miss school then it's between you, your parents and the school. She deserved that you threw up on her.
Get a note from a real doctor to show to the authorities at school. If that doesn't work, have your parents raise hell with the school board. If your parents don't want to do it, get some of the more intelligent of your friends to do it and get the local TV news involved. Then sit in the school nurse's lap and have a bad case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome all over her.
what the fuckj is wrong with these nurses?

Lawsuit to the school and/or get her fired. Actually, in these dire economic times, you should probably just get her reprimanded; otherwise, it may be too cruel to make her lose her job.
Ouch. How can you get a detention for something you can't control? Some people. And she deserved it. I hope it stained.
