Honestly, that is not romantic to me. He didn't even propose to her in person.
I love all the people calling this girl a bitch. People, the problem here is NOT the ring. Believe it or not, not all females are gold digging ****** who want multi-million dollar rings. The problem is that he used FACEBOOK. I don't know how society let this happen, but nowadays Facebook seems to be an alternative to things that should be done in person. Wanna get a divorce? Break up with him/her on Facebook? Wanna make someone your girlfriend/boyfriend? Forget taking them on a REAL date, just FACEBOOK 'em! Wanna get married? Why do it in person, just get engaged on Facebook! I'm sorry, but a proposal, whether you have a ring or not, whether its at a restaurant or you make your significant other a meal in your own home, whether you're hanging out at a park, whatever....it is done IN PERSON. Facebook is not cute, its not sweet, its IMPERSONAL, and it is NOT the medium to ask someone one of the most important questions of either of your lives.
I completely agree with you.
I second that.
AMEN. Think about it. Would you REALLY want to be proposed to via a Facebook app?
I agree as well. It takes all of 5 seconds to type out "Will you marry me?", which quickly loses its emotional value when it's just that sent as a message online. Computer proposals CAN be done well, but just sending a facebook message asking seems like a very impersonal way to pop a very personal question.
Thank you! Will you marry me?
Imkendra, did you just propose to me on FML? THATS SO CUTE AND CREATIVE!!! I'm gonna HAVE to say yes. This will be a story to tell my kids about! Although, judging from your username, I'm gonna guess you're a girl...but its OK, I'm sure gay marriage is legal as long as its done over Facebook, which is OBVIOUSLY where we'll have ours :) lol.
AND I don't think this is "the thought that counts" kind of thing. I'm saying she needed a ring or anything, but he proposed to her over the internet! The only thing that could make this cute is if he walked in the room as she saw it.
That's really cute. He'll probably give you a real ring later. Don't be so disappointed because it wasn't a huge elaborate proposal like you probably have been dreaming of since you were a lil girl.

Isn't that a good thing? I mean, yeah it's not an expensive restaurant and real ring ... but I think it's sweet and almost romantic. :)
Don't post a FML because you are sad you didn't get some multi-thousand dollar ring. He could've given you nothing, like some people on here get. lol
