Today, I received a mass email from my boss saying we had a position open at the daycare I work at. I knew my boyfriend was looking for a job so I insisted he apply. Later at work, my boss takes me into her office and tells me my employment is being "terminated". My boyfriend is replacing me. FML

Today, my boyfriend was fired. After breaking the news, he also broke up with me. Apparently, his boss had a creepy crush on me and would give my boyfriend bonuses for bringing me to company events and, occasionally, out on the boss's personal boat. Looks like I am no longer useful. FML

Today, my boss had to leave the house for a little while. She asked me to take any messages she got. I answered the phone and lady calling said she was returning her call about the opening for a nanny position. I'm the current nanny. I found out I'm being fired by the new nanny. FML

Today, my boyfriend proposed to me. My boss called me into her office and congratulated me, and spent almost half an hour asking me what our wedding plans were, where we might honeymoon, if we wanted kids, etc. She then followed this by suddenly remembering she had called me into the office to sack me. FML

This is delayed but um... why would she dump him? It's not his fault he got the job. Do you want them both to be unemployed? #4/8- I happen to like cooking and cleaning. Thank you very much. But are you trying to start a riot on sexism? It's so exasperating. And he probably will get paid more, but at least then he can buy the op expensive make up gifts. (Or if he's cheap, make up sex would suffice = P)

The OP was probably abusive to the kids I bet. Either that or she sucked at cooking and cleaning and can use this off time to work on her skills like #4 said.
