He gave her a letter and let her think he wrote it himself. That's how it's different from a card. I doubt she would be as upset if he had been honest about it. Honestly, there's a disturbing pattern of people criticizing posters for being "ungrateful" when they complain after someone obviously half-assed something. Some complaints really are ungrateful and whiny, but this is not one of them.
He tried and your friend is a douche.
i would tell you to be more appreciative. So what if he didn't write it himself. The fact that he bothered to even find and copy it for you, shows that he cares enough. So be happy.
It's not really how he did it that counts, it's the thought that count. You shouldn't determine your relationship's value by your friends. You shouldn't look at how he did it but rather the meaning behind it.
Well, at least he took the time to make one, who cares what, where and who? If he had never made you one, you would've made an FML about how your BF never wrote you a loveletter.

Big ******* deal if it wasn't his letter. He still made you happy, right? STFU and just appreciate that your boyfriend cared enough to give you a love letter in the first place.
surely its the thought that counts
