OK, I guess I could be considered a "punk rock guy" and I would rather have Miley Cyrus on my mp3 player than The Who. I like hardcore punk and fast pop-punk (staples like Minor Threat, D.R.I., and Screeching Weasel, as well as more semi-obscure stuff like Jack Killed Jill and Reagan Youth) and I'm not a fan of slow/melodic music, and that includes proto-punk like the Clash. Not everyone who likes punk automatically likes the Clash, which is a common misconception. However, I have a Jennifer Simpson album out of pure irony, just because I think it's hilarious. The Who is just.....eh. I'd love it if I could find an attractive girl that listened to similar music, but a stunt like this is stupid because even if it did impress the guy, he'd probably find out you were faking it after like 15 seconds of conversation. Unless your definition of "punk rock guy" is different from mine, which it probably is, I don't know....maybe he's one of the new "New Wave" class of what a lot of people consider punk rock. For the record I have no problem with Sum 41 fans or whatever, just with people that pretend to be something they're not, which is true of every "subgenre" or "subculture" or whatever you want to call it...I have my own "definition" of punk rock just like everyone else but I really don't care too much.
How is The Clash protopunk?
Way to be a complete poser. The Who? And I'm sure it was mainstream Who, too.
ha...agree with #3, that's what you get for even having miley cyrus in ur itunes
lol...people throwing around the words "punk," "poser," and some 12-year-old chanting "sum41." Anyway, don't be fooled. Every "punk" kid I know, that is people who I see routinely at like Bouncing Souls, Teenage Bottlerocket, Against ME!, etc shows (not trying to namedrop, just giving a good idea of some general bands that make up the current "punk" scene I know of) are like the least elitist people I know of. Also, most of us are desperate and obsessed with meeting a nice indie chick. I mean...when you hardly take care of yourself, you need someone semi-high maintenance to take up your time and energy :p and I'm only sort of joking. That being said, The Who is a good way to catch a "punker" since it's an identifier of a solid and respectable music taste. I will say, however, Hannah Montana does not really have the same effect. :( Just my $0.02
Next Time, STAY AWAY FROM DISNEY MUSIC!!!! FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!! DISNEY TRAFFICS IN SEX ANYWAY!
haha thats karma for like miley
Okay, nice try to get the hot punk dude, but if you listen to Miley Cyrus there's no way in hell ur gonna get with him. And the Who is not something to pick when impressing a punk guy of all people...stick to who u relate to! good luck >

the who is rock n roll. not punk. and if you're someone that listens to miley cyrus and thinks the who is punk he probably wouldn't have been interested in you anyway.
punk guys HATE The Who anyway. better luck next time.
