Today, I saw a drunk guy hitting on a girl sitting alone at the bar. She insisted that her boyfriend was there, but he didn't relent. So I went over and put my arm around her and asked "Who's this guy?" He walked away, but then I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was her boyfriend. He broke my arm. FML

Today, my girlfriend and I went to a bar during Irishfest. When I returned to my girlfriend she was crying and told me that this guy pushed her. I confronted the guy and poured my beer on him who just happened to be the chief of police. He was trying to make room for a guy in a wheelchair. FML

Today, a completely drunk girl walked across the bar and punched me in the face because I was wearing the same dress as her, and her boyfriend had said it looked better on me. While I was screaming at her for being a stupid bitch, she puked all over me, wiped her mouth, and laughed before she passed out. FML

Today, I went to a bar with a close friend. She got drunk and was feeling sick, so I carried her to my car to take her to her house. Some stranger accused me of drugging her and tackled me with her in my arms. She threw up on me, and he took off running without an apology. FML

Why is everyone's answer to violence a lawsuit? Carging is just fine. Honestly, what's suing them going to accomplish? Money doesn't solve much. Since he is in Canada, there aren't any medical costs to cover, and our legal system isn't great, to say the least. Suing may do more harm than good if the other person has a sharp-tongued lawyer backing them up.

He put his arm around her so the guy got the picture and was convinced. I personally would have welcomed his help and my bf would have been dumped if he just did that to some guy without finding out the full story first. He could have been a long lost friend with his arm around me waiting to meet him when he got back from the bar/toilet/wherever.
