Today, I saw a drunk guy hitting on a girl sitting alone at the bar. She insisted that her boyfriend was there, but he didn't relent. So I went over and put my arm around her and asked "Who's this guy?" He walked away, but then I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was her boyfriend. He broke my arm. FML

I'm calling bull on this because if the OP had been in a public bar and got his arm broken there would have been serious issues...like the assult charges.

and WHY did the woman not clarify things before the arm got broken? that sucks man and i'm really sorry that happened to you. please keep being nice.

maybe this only works well in the movies? Try avoiding body contact next time..the boyfriend probably got riled up when he saw your arm around your from far.

My boyfriend and I agree that you putting your arm around her was definitely unnecessary. 1. She could've walked away. 2. You could've went up to her and easily said, "hey, hun, who's this guy?" or "hey, is this guy bothering you?" However, I'm sure there were a ton of witnesses since you were at a bar, so I hope you called the cops.

if someone puts an arm around your g/f you're immediately going to break their arm? i'd ask questions first.

#105 I hope this happens to you and you try and break the guys arm and he kills you. Seriously. What the **** kind of insecure powertrip can you be on to think that it's a good idea? As you stated she's your girlfriend, it's not like a random guy putting his arm around her is going to change that, unless she's a ****, but then you don't want her as your gf anyway.

technically u were hitting on her too
