Today, I saw a letter from Geneseo that invited me to apply to the honors college. Excited, I wrote the required two page essay on how I am organized. I then saw the strict deadline was March 15th. My little brother thought it would be funny to hide my mail. For the past seven weeks. FML

every honors student at my college is a ******* tool bag and a waste of life because they all complain that theyre only going here because they're getting money, **** honors students your no better than the rest of us

#6, #8 Are you serious? Maybe for an adult, but most high school kids don't get much snail mail if any. I know I didn't - I rarely ordered anything online, I interacted with my friends in person or via the phone, I never subscribed to anything, and I didn't sign up for any memberships that would bombard me with obnoxious newsletters. To someone not regularly getting mail, they are not going to know if any mail is being withheld from them. If you're going to try and discredit an FML, at least think it through.

Find a creepy old man. Let the creepy old man take your brother. After 7 weeks, take him back. That should teach him not to mess with you. If you can prove that you've never even seen the old man before, you can sue him, and reap the rewards of your brother's misery. Ain't a genius? A sick, twisted, genius?

i go to geneseo. the honors program isn't separate from the college, it's just a bunch of extra classes to take. it's just one more thing to put on your resume, and since geneseo is a really great SUNY school already, you'll be fine not in the program.

It's the truth--it's like you take one honors class each semester for two or three years. I mean, it sucks that you can't do it now, but if you're a freshman they will consider you again in your sophomore year. Otherwise, honestly don't sweat it. You can still graduate with honors in your major if you do a thesis, get into one of the million honor societies they have, graduate summa cum laude, etc. I would still kick the crap out of your brother, though. That goes without saying
