Today, I saw my unemployed 29-year-old son, who still lives with us, reading the work section of the newspaper and prayed that he was looking for a job. He was looking for the comics. FML

YDI for allowing him to still live with u.

LoL, why don't you just confront him? instead of just waiting for him. he obviously isn't looking for a job.

Sounds like you deserve it if you won't kick him out.

you deserve it for letting him be like that. if you really wanted him to change you would go into his room, pack his bags and leave them out the front and then change the locks! let him learn to live and nothing oh its ok mummy and daddy will look after me. they cook and clean and do the laundry and make my bed just like i was 5 years old. seriously grow some balls

Obviously you totally deserve it since you let him sit there reading comics while you work to support your family (unless you don't and in that case you still deserve it for complaining about his lack of work)A good parent would be teaching their child how to survive on their own.

simple solution: kick his ass out!

Sounds like someone needs to watch an episode of Dr Phil about 'enabling'...

Haha such a slacker tell him you'll kick him out of the house so he should start looking for a job

You totally deserve it because all you are doing is praying (hoping) for him to get off his lazy ass. Set a deadline for him to move out and kick his ass into action.

You know, you could kick him out. Just tell him he has to be out by next month or something, and if he doesn't leave just put his stuff outside. Harsh, but he needs to be on his own by now. Letting him still be a child isn't going to help him get anywhere in life. It's what would be best for everyone.
