Today, I saw the blueprints for my family's new house. My room is half the size of the room next to it. The room next to it is my step mom's walk-in closet. FML

How sad. I think you need to have a sit-down conversation with your father. Hope you're going off to college soon.

That is so hoed out Maybe your parents were joking when they told you which room is yours? And GODDAMN your step mom must have a lot of clothes/shoes/accessories

hahaha, 109. Well, gratefulness is all well and good, but really the point of this is that in this instance a closet seems to be a higher priority to the family than a human being. 104 - What if you're my age? It's illegal to work at my age. Self-subsistence is irrelevant - if you're not legally emancipated, a parent owes it to you to provide for you. And apparently to this parent, their child is less important than what must be a shit-ton of shoes and clothing. ...So yeah - eff your life, mate.

That's odd... it said the top one was cancelled. Whatevs.

All stepmothers suck. Hopefully she's not awful all the time.

Steal her cloths and burn them

Hey, ****** need their storage space.

Your family has blueprints for a new house, and is rich enough even in this economy to afford huge walk-in closets. You're doing fine.

nevermind the relative sizes, what is the ACTUAL size of the room? and what all is her "closet" used for? If her "closet" is actually a withdrawing/dressing/personal room, it's not out of line. If your room is, in absolute terms, of a "reasonable size" then what's the problem? I've lived in (rented) places where there was literally enough room for my bed, a desk and a chest of drawers. Size of room has nothing to do with "importance" and a lot to do with what is expected to happen in the room....maybe it's a hint that you should be out interacting with people more.
