Those texts ARE really annoying, but I think what you did is really sweet. It just shows that there are good people left in this world. There's nothing wrong with being positive and trying to make others feel better about themselves..just try not to do it through a mass text next time. ;)

It amazes me and makes me sick frankly just how many people said this poor girl deserved it. What is wrong with you? She is trying to shine a little beam of light into someone's day and no matter what you think everything you say matters and can make or break someones day. Yeah, YDI. Let me list the reasons. - No one likes spam. - Motivational quotes are meaningless if they aren't relevant to a specific person or situation. Sending the same message to everyone you know is pretty much just you trying to make yourself feel like a good friend with the absolute minimal effort. - If you sent it to everyone at once with no consideration for their differing schedules, chances are that you interrupted a lot of people during work/school/sleeping/etc.

How is this spam? She was not selling anything, advertising a website, or anything like that. It's just a simple little message reminding people to smile and love themselves. Which, by the way, more people should do. Most people these days are depressed, pessimistic, it's horrible. Look at how many people drink, smoke, use drugs all the time, have one-night stands, eat until their stomachs burst, etc... these are usually not the acts of happy people. These are the actions of people trying to block out a life they hate. So, OP, props to you. I think a simple message like this is great. Also, btw, I don't get why people are so concerned over spam. Don't like it? Delete it or don't read it. Takes all of 1 second.
