She might have a condition called synesthesia. I have the kind that causes people to see letters and numbers with colors and emotions, like your wife, op. Other kinds include associating colors with sounds or tastes with sounds, to add some information. I did my science fair project last year on synesthesia. FYI, I also see T as orange, but not all letters are the same for synesthetics
